Prolapsed hämorrhoiden – cause & its grading
The incidences of hämorrhoiden are quite common happening because of its higher distension making it trapped outside anus as a result of spasm in the sphincter causing strangulation of hemorrhoid besides also suffering in the disruption of blood supply. The manner of grading the internal hemorrhoids is based on the degree of prolapsed hemorrhoid.
In the grade I hemorrhoid is not prolapsed yet, whereas in Grade II it gets prolapsed on defecation followed by almost immediately returning back. In the case of Grade III it gets prolapsed on defection and requiring manual pushing it back.
The Signs and symptoms of external hemorrhoids are itching and pain in the rectum in some cases there is bleeding also and remission of symptoms is observed after few days in contrast the internal hemorrhoids are not having pain except in cases with presence of thrombosis or necrosis.
The very common symptom of internal hemorrhoid is presence of bright red stools referred to as hematochezia.
